It does not matter what size or type of business you have - The Business Map will help you with strategic planning to define exactly what you need to do to improve and grow your business.
Here is what we mean.
All businesses have a market and need sales; all need a clear strategy for success; all have people and need to get the best from them; all must streamline and measure their performance to increase efficiency and profitability; and all have finances that need to be managed effectively. If you focus on each and every one of these five key areas and identify what you need to do to improve them you will have a powerful route map for your business.
The Business Map will help you perfect your strategic planning and define exactly what you need to do to drive your business forward.
There are six group sessions spread over three months. You will be acting on what you discover about your business and yourself immediately.
Transforming your business from day one.
You and your fellow participants will work together in strictest confidence and concentrate on driving your business forward in this unique method of top-level management training. You will share ideas and have no-holds-barred discussion to help you sort out what you need to do.
Information Session – 3 hours
At this information session you will meet with the other participants in your group, meet the business experts and hear from past participants who will share his / her experience of The Business Map with you. You will explore your greatest business challenges, and clarify what you need to focus on to take your business to the next level.
Developing Your Entrepreneurial Mindset – 1 day
Sometimes the biggest obstacle holding back your business is you! However, top performing entrepreneurs come in all shapes and sizes. And great entrepreneurs are made, not born. So what is it that the most successful entrepreneurs consistently do differently than others to achieve their outstanding results? In this session you will tease out your own strengths and weaknesses and discover the essential steps you need to take to develop yourself for the benefit of your business.
Winning More Business – The Smart Way – 1 ½ days
In this session we remove the mystique from marketing and show you how to find some immediate and easy wins for your business. You will learn how to segment your customers so you can market to each segment most persuasively. We will consider the importance of providing value so you can make sure the customers you already have keep coming back, and how you can best attract new ones. Finally, we will help you determine which marketing mix will be the most productive for your business and help you maximise your return on investment in marketing.
Keeping Your Business on Track – 1 day
In tough economic times it is more important than ever to closely monitor business performance. But how do you know what to track? Track too little and you may not really have any insight into what is happening in your business. Track too much and you can end up in confusion. The key is to identify indicators that can tell you the health of your business at all times and enable you to focus on resolving challenges before they become terminal. In this session we will demonstrate the importance of measuring business performance, identify the key indicators for your business, and make sure you know how to use them for maximum impact.
Getting the Best from Your People – 1 day
Your people are the greatest asset you have in your business, and probably your biggest financial outlay, too. How do you get the best from them? Do your people know what is expected of them and are they motivated to contribute towards your success? Great entrepreneurs build great teams and empower them to succeed. In this session you will learn some practical techniques to focus, motivate, and empower your people. You will see how to develop, structure and lead your team to help take your business to the next level.
Improving Your Grasp of the Numbers – 1 day
Your grasp of the numbers in your business is essential and never more so than in a challenging economic climate. Do you know how to accurately determine which parts of your business are making money – and how much? In this crucial session you will learn how to improve your interpretation of accounts and manage your finances more effectively. You will improve your ability to challenge, question and understand the financial information in your business.
Develop Your Strategy for Success – 2 days
Are you clear about what you want for your business? In the next three years? Or five years? Do you have clear aims and objectives? Do you have a defined plan for taking your business forward? Have you involved your team in strategic planning? When the business environment changes you need to review and re-evaluate your strategy – it might still be sound or it may need to evolve or even change completely. In this session we guide you through a simple and structured framework, empowering you to objectively review your business strategy.
One To One Coaching – 2 x 1 ½ hour sessions
Taking action is essential for your future success. We do not just want to you to LEARN how to be more successful – we want you to actually BECOME more successful, too. Our experienced business coach will spend time with you one-on-one, to help you translate your insights into action that really transform your business.
